Matthew & Charlotte Turner | Creators of the Uinta Bikepacking Route
We’re Matthew and Charlotte Turner—two former pro cyclists turned ultra-racers, route dreamers, and full-time adventurers based in Park City, Utah. Our story began at Fort Lewis College, where we both went for cycling and Charlotte raced on scholarship, fell in love, and started carving our path together, on and off the bike. Nearly a decade later, we’ve been married for over two years and are still chasing new roads, wild trails, and bigger challenges side by side.
The Uinta Bikepacking Route was born out of our shared obsession with pushing limits, connecting terrain, and showing people a raw and rugged side of northern Utah most never see. From high alpine singletrack to winding gravel backroads and smooth stretches of pavement, this route is a reflection of everything we love about riding: exploration, challenge, and the freedom to find your edge.
When we’re not mapping routes or racing ultras, you’ll find us pedaling out our front door into the Wasatch, scouting the next big loop, or simply enjoying the quiet rhythm of bike travel together. This project is our way of sharing a piece of the terrain that shaped us—with all its grit, beauty, and unexpected magic.
